Donate to Yugen Build!
I’ve been spamming you for 10 months now with my travel photos (sorry!)—but I’m grateful to be part of a group who gives back to the communities we’re lucky enough to be part of, if only for a month.
With the hope of making a more lasting impact, we created Yugen Build, with the goal of building 58 homes in the slums of Bogota, Colombia.
Why 58? There were 58 of us who started this journey in Croatia. And each home cost $2,000 a month—exactly what we pay to be part of Remote Year.
We’re partnering with the exceptional South American charity, Techo to find families, single mothers, battered women and elderly in need. Though we’re making progress, we still have a long, long way to go—and our build day is a month away.
I’m normally not one to ask for donations—since we all have our own causes—but this is one very special and near-and-dear to my heart. There are many ways to contribute, and if you’re intrigued, I’d love to share more information on how to get involved.

Any little bit helps this incredible piece of the world that needs a bit of extract love.
