Lindsay Tigar is an experienced, established travel and lifestyle journalist, editor and content strategist.
Since uprooting from Asheville, North Carolina in 2010 to Manhattan, Lindsay’s work has appeared on dozens of sites, including Self magazine, Refinery29, Prevention, Bustle, AskMen, Bravo.com and countless others. While she is always up for the challenge of any assignment, her main areas of focus include wellness, psychology and love, travel advice and reviewing, and healthy living content. Previously, Lindsay led editorial and content strategy at the fitness start-up, ClassPass, assigning, planning and curating content for their blog, The Warm Up, and the overall website.
She began writing at the age of 7, landed her first newspaper gig at 15, interned at 19 and started a blog at 22 that would help guide her career. Though her personal dating and self-love blog, Confessions of a Love Addict, grew to gain a large following around the world, she discontinued writing in 2017. The pages remain active, with hundreds reading the archives every day.
In addition to writing, Lindsay is also a self-starter. She created the Ed2010 Buddy System, which pairs recent graduates with young editors to give them a guide to the publishing industry and to navigating New York. Additional information about the program can be found here. She’s spoken at several conferences about building a writing career and breaking into the industry. She’s also an avid supporter of Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union and Love146, a non-profit dedicated to ending human trafficking.
From August 2017-18, Lindsay is currently traveling the world with Remote Year, a program allowing digital nomads to work in one country per month, spanning Europe, Asia, South and Central America.
This month, she calls Kyoto, Japan home.
