Lindsay Tigar is an experienced, established travel and lifestyle journalist, editor and content strategist.
Since uprooting from Asheville, North Carolina in 2010 to Manhattan, Lindsay’s work has appeared on several websites, including Travel + Leisure, Vogue, USA Today, Reader’s Digest, Self, Refinery29 and countless others. While she is always up for the challenge of any assignment, her main areas of focus include travel, wellness, psychology, love and healthy living. Previously, Lindsay led editorial and content strategy at the fitness start-up, ClassPass, assigning, planning and curating content for their blog, The Warm Up, and the overall website.
With a lifelong curiosity about the world and its people, Lindsay began writing at the age of 7, landed her first newspaper column at 15, interned at 19 and started a blog at 22 that would help guide her career, Confessions of a Love Addict, After writing this personal dating and self-love blog for six years and growing a large following around the globe, she sought to build her freelance career and discontinued writing in 2017. Even so, the pages remain active, with hundreds reading the archives every day.
In addition to journalism, Lindsay is also a self-starter. She created the Ed2010 Buddy System, which pairs recent graduates with young editors to give them a guide to the publishing industry and to navigating New York. She’s an avid supporter of Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union and Nightlight Designs, a non-profit dedicated to ending human trafficking.
Throughout late 2017 and 2018, Lindsay is traveling the world with Remote Year, a program that allows digital nomads to work in one country per month, spanning Europe, Asia, South and Central America. She is lovingly proud to be part of the Yugen community.
