I helped manage the iVillage Hot Dads Contest in 2012 and 2013. It was the biggest contest iVillage hosted, attracting thousands of entries and over one hundred thousand votes. Year over year, I helped to double entries and user engagement through promotion both on air and off. I also helped to increase pageviews and unique visitors, year over year. I managed all aspects of the contest by working with design, marketing, acquisition and public relations to make sure all parts moved successfully and smoothly and by deadline. I also worked closely with The Today Show producers and provided information for on-air mentions which drove hundreds of entries. We also announced the winners on The Today show, and I managed communication between iVillage to provide images and context. I also coordinated the runners up and winners, booked their travel, coordinated schedules and wrote all copy about the winners and runner-ups.

In 2012 and 2013, I helped manage and execute the Married Sex Survey which was part of a large initiative at iVillage: We Want Sex Week. I wrote all copy about the results of our survey, helped organize our #SexWeek Twitter parties, managed the editorial calendar surrounding Sex Week and made sure other verticals and departments promoted the content. The survey was featured in prominent, national publications like The Washington Post and drove hundreds of thousands of pageviews.

30 Days of DIY

iVillage partnered with successful bloggers in the parenting, home, food and style spaces to create exclusive DIY content for the holidays. I attracted five big bloggers for the parenting team, assigned projects, edited copy and photos, produced and finalized contracts.

Though not officially part of my title at iVillage, I planned Bring Your Kid to Work Day 2012 and 2013 and also Halloween at iVillage 2012 and 2013. By coordinating with several national brands like Godiva, PopChips, Shutterfly, Melissa & Doug, as well as local New York brands like Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit, I was able to create a fun day for parents and children that also helped the business. We tagged and promoted the brands socially, creating dialog and wrote up fun articles about the events.
